FAQ

Common questions

How does editing a scan work?

A scan is a picture of text, so there is nothing to edit until the words are recognized. The editor reads them in your browser (OCR) and places them exactly over the printed words; when you change a line, the old words are covered and your new text is written in their place.

Will the result look like the original?

Unchanged parts of the page stay exactly as scanned. A line you edit is redrawn in a clean standard font on a background matched to the paper, so it's easy to read — but it won't copy a typewriter or handwriting.

Which languages can it read?

English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. Accuracy depends on the scan: sharp, straight pages work best.

Is it free?

Editing is free — no signup, no watermark, and no trial that rebills you later. Downloading your finished file is a one-time $1.97 per document, refundable for 7 days.

Do you upload my PDF to a server?

No. Your PDF is opened and edited entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so even sensitive documents stay private on your device.
