Acceptance of terms

By using PDF Editor (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service is

PDF Editor is a tool that lets you view and edit PDF documents directly in your web browser. All editing happens locally on your device; we do not receive or store the files you edit.

Editing is free and requires no account. Downloading or exporting your finished file requires a one-time payment, as described under "Paid downloads" below.

Paid downloads

Opening, editing, and previewing a document is free. To download or export your edited file, you pay a one-time charge of $1.97 per document.

This is a one-time, per-document charge — it is NOT a subscription. You are not enrolled in any recurring plan, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to pay for another download.

Prices are shown before you pay and are stated in US dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, may be added at checkout.

Refunds

7-day money-back guarantee — if it's not for you, email us and we'll refund you.

To request a refund, email hello@textinpdf.com within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund you. You do not need to provide a reason.

Billing & chargebacks

By completing checkout, you authorize the one-time charge for the document you are downloading. The charge will appear on your card or payment statement under our or our payment processor's billing descriptor.

If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us first at hello@textinpdf.com — we honor our refund guarantee and can resolve most issues faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first requesting a refund may result in your access to the Service being suspended.

Payment processor

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, your card and payment details are submitted directly to Stripe; we never see, handle, or store your full card number or other sensitive payment credentials.

Your use of the payment flow is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Stripe processes payment information only — your edited document is never sent to Stripe or to us.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and only with documents you have the right to edit. You are solely responsible for the content of the files you open and the edits you make.

You agree not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, overload, or misuse the Service or the website that hosts it.

Your content

You retain all rights to the documents you edit. Because your files never leave your device, we claim no ownership of, and have no access to, your content.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies and backups of your files. The Service does not store your documents, so we cannot recover them for you.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

While we work to keep edits faithful to the original document, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will be suitable for every use. Always review your downloaded file before relying on it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Editor and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or files, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Changes to the Service and terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the Service or these terms at any time. When we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
